We are incredibly proud to announce that our Ambassador, Naman Julka-Anderson, has been honoured with four major awards, further highlighting his remarkable contributions to allied health professions and promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI).

Naman has been awarded the Chief Allied Health Professional Officer’s Allied Health Professional Leadership for EDI Award, recognising his outstanding work promoting in equity and inclusivity in the field. In addition to this honour, he has made history by becoming the first therapeutic radiographer to win the overall Allied Health Professional (AHP) of the Year Award.

Naman’s achievements don’t stop there. He is also one of only 22 AHPs to receive the inaugural Chief Allied Health Professions Officer’s Gold Award for Excellence, presented by Suzanne Rastrick and he’s been recently named Radiographer of the Year for the London Region at the 2024 Radiography Awards, celebrating his groundbreaking work addressing inequalities in radiotherapy practice.

These accolades underscore Naman’s commitment to excellence, advocacy, and leadership in the radiotherapy community. His dedication to promoting equity, particularly for people of colour, is reflected in his tireless work to drive meaningful change in radiotherapy practices. Over the past 29 months, Naman has spoken at over 70 events, published two articles, and impacted oncology practices worldwide.

Through his research on radiation-induced skin reactions (RISR), Naman has pushed for more inclusive guidelines, leading to updated radiotherapy consent forms that better account for skin tone differences, making treatment more equitable for people of colour.

As co-founder of Rad Chat, the first therapeutic radiographer-led oncology podcast, Naman continues to raise the profile of therapeutic radiographers and champion equity in healthcare.

We are immensely proud to have Naman as part of our charity’s Ambassadors’ Network, and we celebrate his well-deserved recognition!

Congratulations, Naman!
