The #CatchUpWithCancer campaign along with the APPG for radiotherapy, who RTUK are secretariat to, met with the Cancer minister and other officials in Westminster to discuss the cancer backlog and how radiotherapy can provide solutions it if invested in correctly.
Chaired by Tim Farron and Grahame Morris, attended by the Cancer Minister, Maria Caulfield, and other officials to highlight the urgent need for investment in radiotherapy and the workforce.
RTUK, patient, industry & frontline staff were all represented to discuss current issues and the potential radiotherapy solutions to dealing with the cancer backlog and future proofing cancer services. In short radiotherapy has many solutions that are cost effective and if actioned could provide some immediate solutions.
