VIDEO: Dr Alison Tree answers common radiotherapy questions

Dr Alison Tree has white skin and shoulder-length blonde skin. She smiles at the camera and wears a royal blue top

What an honour!

We recently had the great pleasure of working with Dr Alison Tree, Consultant Clinical Oncologist at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust.

Dr Tree took the time to answer questions sent in by patients about the role of a clinical oncologist in their treatment for a new video.

Questions like:

  • What is a clinical oncologist?
  • Is radiotherapy an effective treatment?
  • What is the best advice you can give me?

Radiotherapy UK is committed to making trusted patient resources with our PIF TICK accreditation, and working with medical experts like Dr Tree makes this possible.

Our new Patients and Families hub will be launching officially in May.

As you know I am registered nonverbal and many days are challenging. I am now also registered deaf having lost 80% of my hearing due to chemotherapy. To be able to watch and read and also have control of your own volume is brilliant. The questions were exactly what needed to be answered and the answers were very easy to understand.
