  1. Preparation
  • Message: Think about your reasons for supporting before you start recording. But try not to read from a script as this can look a little awkward. Aim to keep it under 30 seconds.
  • Lighting: Find a well-lit area. Natural light works best, so try to film near a window during the day.
  • Quiet Environment: Choose a quiet room or wait for a quiet time.
  1. Recording Setup
  • Orientation: Hold your phone in portrait mode (vertically).
  • Stability: Use a tripod or prop your phone against a stable surface to avoid shaky footage.
  • Framing: Position yourself in the center of the frame. Ensure your head and shoulders are visible.
  1. Content
  • Introduction: Introduce yourself with your name, organization and which country you are in.
  • Reason: Share your reason for supporting this cause. Choose one of the following options or use your own:

Option 1: I’m supporting the very first World Radiotherapy Awareness Day because I want to see everyone get fair access to this vital cancer treatment.

Option 2: I’m supporting the very first World Radiotherapy Awareness Day because radiotherapy helps people with cancer live longer and better.

Option 3: I believe we can work together to show the world what a difference access to radiotherapy can make for cancer patients around the world. Join me in supporting the very first World Radiotherapy Awareness Day.
