AXREM announced as first #Miles4Radiotherapy event partner

Radiotherapy UK is delighted to announce our first event partner for this year’s #Miles4Radiotherapy.

The lovely team at AXREM will be sponsoring our summer virtual challenge for the radiotherapy community in support of our #CatchUpWithCancer campaign.

Catching Up With Cancer

This year’s #Miles4Radiotherapy challenge starts on July 1, and welcomes anyone impacted by cancer to create a team or individual challenge and clock up the miles for sponsorship. Participants can choose how they move: walking, running, scooting, wheeling, sailing, horse-riding, and paddle-boarding are just some of the choices from previous years. Participants will also we invited to sign up for an in-person race with 3mile and 10mile courses in Yorkshire.

Every step taken and pound raised supports the UK’s longest and loudest campaign for cancer patients facing deadly treatment delays. #CatchUpWithCancer was co-founded by Radiotherapy UK in 2020 and has never stopped speaking out since.

AXREM is the UK trade association representing the interests of suppliers of diagnostic medical imaging, radiotherapy, healthcare IT and care equipment including patient monitoring in the UK. AXREM members supply the majority of diagnostic medical imaging and radiotherapy equipment installed in UK hospitals.

In doing so, its member companies and their employees work side by side with Radiologists, Radiographers and Practitioners, Oncologists and a wide range of healthcare professionals in delivering healthcare to patients using our technologies.

#Miles4Radiotherapy starts July 1

Now we’ll be standing together on the virtual start line, ready to get active, boost our mental health and campaign for fair access to treatment for every UK cancer patient.
