Radiotherapy is one of the most under-recognised areas of cancer care, yet 1 in 4 people who are diagnosed with cancer in the UK will need radiotherapy at some point in their lives.
Behind every treatment is a highly skilled team of AHP professionals. Therapeutic radiographers have a broad and ranging role from delivering treatment to specialists in planning, imaging, advanced practitioners, service leadership and education.
Despite their vital role in cancer care, the radiotherapy workforce rarely receives the recognition it deserves.
