Home run for Terrific Tudors 🧡
Legend alert! This week we want to celebrate Andy and Jane Tudor for completing more than 451 miles of their 500-mile walking challenge for Miles4Radiotherapy.
The determined duo have been heading out early each morning to beat the heat and are now within touching distance of their goal.
Andy, who is a Trustee for Radiotherapy UK, was diagnosed with a large brain tumour in 2017. He underwent surgery, and then radiotherapy four years later for a recurrence.
Since then he has devoted countless hours to raising awareness of radiotherapy and supporting other cancer patients through his charitable work.
Well done Andy and Jane!

Milers on form 🌈
This year’s challenge has been Wow with a capital ‘W’.
Together we have completed 60% of the total aim – a whopping 120,000miles and no sign of slowing down, even despite the heatwaves.
Thank you everyone for really getting stuck in – your enthusiasm is a cold drink on a lovely sunny day!

- Suzi has been getting some very cultural steps in, browsing the summer exhibition art at the Royal Academy of Arts.
- Sarah started her challenge in Austria with some incredible mountain views.
- Mafalda and her pal – both part of team Miles Per Hour Beaconeers – finished Longrun Meadow Parkrun with smiles.
- Yun has been enjoying some calming morning walks, and a trip to Abbey Grands Park, in Cirencester.
- Jo headed out the Peaks to watch the eclipse; and James has been fundraising with back-to-back HIIT classes at his local gym – a sweaty and brutal approach!
- Ashley has been competing in his local summer skittles league, taking lunchtime trips around the lake grounds in Portishead, celebrating his 32nd birthday and been deep in superhero training camp with his three-year-old son. He has now suggested we add a ‘fighting baddies’ category to the activity tracker!
