Radiotherapy UK is delighted to announce Xiel as our headline Ultra sponsor of Miles4Radiotherapy 2026.
Returning for the second year, the Xiel team isn’t just sponsoring the challenge, they’re taking part in it too. This summer, they’ll be walking, running, and moving alongside hundreds of others to raise funds for trusted radiotherapy resources.
For CEO Mark O’Herlihy, the reasons for supporting the challenge are simple but powerful: it makes a real difference, and it brings people together.
Mark said:
“We are excited to be headline sponsors for Miles4Radiotherapy again for two reasons; firstly this is a brilliant challenge to support a small charity making high quality resources to support people through radiotherapy; and secondly, it’s just a really fun way to have a great summer.
It brought our team together last year and reminded us to get active with a walk, a 5k, or even just chasing after our children!
I hope this year can be the biggest and best yet – bringing together all of us impacted by cancer and wanting to build a better, brighter future for the one in two of us who will be diagnosed.”

Miles4Radiotherapy 2026 opened for registration on May 6 with an added bonus; anyone who registers in May receives a 10% discount. The challenge begins on July 1 and runs for two months, inviting participants to collect miles in any way that suits their lives. Whether it’s walking the dog, cycling through the countryside, paddleboarding, or simply staying active at home. Every movement can helps us reach an ambitious target of 200,000miles – doubling last year’s efforts.
The challenge is a fundraiser for our Patients and Families online hub, a free, trusted space where adults affected by cancer can access clear, accredited information about radiotherapy. Since launching in May 2025, the hub has already reached over 30,000 people, offering reassurance and guidance when it’s needed most.
Importantly, this challenge is for everyone. There are no limits – all ages and abilities are very welcome. Whether someone is recovering from treatment, living with mobility challenges, returning to exercise, or training at a high level, they can join in. The flexibility of the Race At Your Pace app means daily activities like cooking, cleaning or washing the car can contribute toward the total.
