Catch Up with Cancer campaign meets World Cancer Day 2024

Support gathers for Catch Up with Cancer campaign

Sixty MPs and more than 20 charities joined the Catch Up With Cancer campaign at Westminster ahead of World Cancer Day 2024.

The campaign event unfurled a banner showing that 225,000 people in England alone have waited too long for vital cancer treatment since 2020. If these people could stand in a queue it would stretch for 131 miles – the distance between London and Cardiff.

After the banner was revealed to a large media attendance, a drop-in event was held within the House of Commons. Sixty MPs from across the political spectrum came along to learn more and sign a pledge to catch up with cancer.

Radiotherapy UK would like to thank everyone that was able to attend and support the event.
