On 14th June 2023, the APPG for Radiotherapy (APPG-RT) heard from representatives of the global radiotherapy industry to better understand how advances in Radiotherapy are being implemented in other countries, and how similar approaches could fundamentally improve outcomes for cancer patients in the UK.
The summit was held in Parliament at Westminster and was successful in gathering leading industry figures to meet key parliamentarians. Tim Farron MP chaired the event and we welcomed a total of 7 MPs, including Rachael Maskell MP (member of the Health and Social Care Committee), Daisy Cooper MP, Health and Social Care Spokesperson for the Liberal Democrats, and Selaine Saxby MP, key supporter of the campaign.
