#Miles4Radiotherapy sprints through July

As the first month of our #Miles4Radiotherapy summer challenge comes to a close, we want to thank everyone taking part for making this year’s challenge the boldest yet.

At the time of writing, you have collected 39,121 miles, travelled virtually around the UK’s radiotherapy centres 14.5 times, and raised more than £4,147 – all in the name of standing up for vital cancer treatment!

Top individual fundraisers Chris Ruggles, Samantha Hill and Colin Lee are going strong: and our top fundraising teams at the time of writing are Hull Oncology, Clatterbridge Cancer Centre and Kent Oncology Centre.

Battling it out for the top mileage spots, we have Oxford University Hospitals Radiotherapy leading, Varian in second place and Cheltenham Oncology nipping at their heels in third. Chris Skelhorn, Paul Harrison and Jill Chapman are topping the individual leaderboard.

Our hope, with your generous support, is to smash the 100k mile target, while raising awareness of radiotherapy as a treatment. It’s also a great moment for some friendly competition and a chance to get fit ahead of the Great North Run and other key events.

Thank you all for making this such a success and please keep sharing your photos with us so we can light up our socials with the feelgood factor. Keep up the amazing work.
